Citizens for a Great School (CGS) is a non-profit, non-partisan organization. Our organization was formed out of concern for the financially irresponsible decision of the QV School Board to build an expensive high school on a problematic hilltop site without benefit of a taxpayer referendum. Citizens for a Great School has spent a fair amount of time seeking and reviewing documents, speaking to community members and trying to engage with the School Board. This is what we believe.

1) Residents/Taxpayers are entitled to a referendum.

2) The QV School Board is irresponsibly spending taxpayer dollars.

3) The hilltop site the School Board has chosen has significant problems.

4) The School Board should renovate and add on to the existing high school.

5) The quality of education has much more to do with programs and teachers than the physical space in which it occurs.

We’ve created this site so that Quaker Valley residents may easily find information regarding the proposed action of the School Board, and to enable you to see, by these documents, the basis for our concerns.

We invite you to join our cause, to view and share the information we’ve gathered here and to respectfully voice your opinions on this issue.

We strive for objectivity, accuracy and completeness and welcome input that will secure those goals.
